Every naira, on the record
7 years of giving, published by year and by category. What comes in is what we report, and what we report is what we file.
Our constitution binds every naira to the objects the foundation was registered for. The accounts are audited by independent auditors each year and filed with the Corporate Affairs Commission, and zakat is held as its own fund with its own rules.

The empowerment fund
A standing circle, month after month
Most of what we do runs through a monthly contribution fund that meets need as it arises. A public appeal is opened only now and then, when a case calls for more than the fund can carry.

The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed [of grain] which grows seven spikes; in each spike is a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies [His reward] for whom He wills. And Allah is all-Encompassing and Knowing.

This is to show much appreciation to you for your prayers and counselling during my pregnancy. I remember the day I nearly lost faith concerning my pregnancy, and I didn't even know what to do. I called you and explained things to you, and you gave me some adhkār to be doing. And alhamdulillah, here I am with my baby today. The most amazing thing about you is that one doesn't need to know you personally before you provide a solution to one's problem.

Our family
One foundation, two arms
The charity is the parent. The Dawah Institute teaches; the Honey Enterprise trades. Their books are kept apart, and the foundation answers for both.

Assoutudeen Prophetic Medicine Foundation
The registered charity. It receives the donations, runs the empowerment fund, publishes the accounts, and answers for everything done in the Assoutudeen name.

Subsidiary · education
Assoutudeen Dawah Institute
The teaching arm. Seven classes across Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings — Tafsir, Hadith, Prophetic Medicine, Fiqh, Virtues of the Companions, Qur'an and Modern Science, and the monthly seminar. It is not separately incorporated and holds no funds of its own.
Subsidiary · commercial
Assoutudeen Honey Enterprise
The trading arm, selling pure honey by the litre to retail and wholesale customers. It is a business rather than a charity, and its books are kept separate from the foundation's.
